| | How does BIS work with these new plans?
OK, so I called the rep at my local T-Mobile store that I plan on buying the 9700 at tomorrow and now I'm more confused than before the call lol.
I want to go on the Even More Plus plan, and break up the cost of the phone over 20 months with no 2 year commitment attached. Ok fine, that I get.
Now, when I asked about the minutes and data plans, she said I can get the 59.99 plan with 500 minutes and unlimited web. Then I asked, "Wouldn't I need to get the Blackberry data plan on top of that?" and she said no, that the Blackberry Internet Service is included in the 59.99. Something seems off about that. Can anyone shine some light on this for me? Thanks.

i just switched to this exact plan...i also questioned this, but it is just that 59.99 for free nights and week ends, 500 min, unlimited web which is email, text and messaging. it just sounded to good to be true..i even asked here it Crackberry, there is a tmobile rep answering questions and its just a good plan. the thing is we cant get discounts for phones anymore just make payments on a new one which is cool by me...if you find out anything different let me know.
thanks

Yep, on all the talk/txt/web plans, all data is included, even bb.
I'm on the 79.99 em+ plan right now and all data is included. Nothing else is needed.

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. It did sound too good to be true.
Now I'm just worried about the credit approval part. I had to pay a deposit when I transferred an ATT line to my name earlier this year. (My mom got tired of my phone being in her name lol).

just to add some more info to what's already been posted.
yes, the even more plus TTW plans come with unlimited smartphone data but each time you switch to another smartphone, you have to call in and tell the rep which phone you're switching to so that they activate the necessary changes. for example, if you're going to an android, tell them, so that they can activate the android functions; if you're going to blackberry, let them know and they'll activate the necessary BIS functions.
hope that helps.

well snap, if this is the case maybe i will jump ship on AT&T and pick up a t-mobile plan. i would definitely pay $70 or $80 a month for a plan vs $120 for at&t. holy crapperschnappel!!
plus then i can use UMA!! the UMA calling is included in the plans at no extra cost?

My monthly bill plus the phone payments is going to cost the same or even less than what just the plan would cost me on ATT, without the 299.99 upfront cost to boot.

I know that a UMA calling feature is available for the newer plans though. Does the same thing as the old UMA feature - unlimited calls over UMA - but has a different price tag. 15 for unlimited UMA calling on EM plans, 10 for the EM+.

well basically, if i were to get the $79 or even the $59 plan i would be able to make UMA calls at no addition fee right?
im just looking to save some cash instead of shelling out $122 a month for at&t. i would pay the ETF just to get that decent of a plan.
anyone running UMA on 5.0.0.348 on the 8900? running ok?
and i thought UMA was free with no charge against minutes.

Dictoresno, I'm on .348 on the 8900 and I've had no problems with UMA. Just as good if not better than with 4.6. [=

Make sure that whoever sets up your rate plan activates the correct data service for your phone. My EM+ plan went into affect today, and I woke up with no data services. After a phone call to T-Mobile I found out that the rep who switched my plan activated the dumbphone data for both lines on my bill (a G1 & BlackBerry).
I also took a look at the My Account Bill Summary feature on WAP after the rep I spoke to today fixed the issue and it is showing the $119.99 Text+Talk+Web plan plus an additional $20 for text and $40 for data, bringing my total monthly due before taxes to around $185.00 (I forget what the exact number is.) I did the math before switching to see how much I would save and I was also told I would be saving almost $50 a month with this new plan, but the bill summary shows differently.
I don't understand why I am being charged extra if the cost of messaging & data is suppose to be included in the $119.99.

Don't worry about the WAP site, it's wrong...
I have the 79.99 EM+ plan and on the WAP site, it shows my plan as being 79.99 then add 10 for text, 20 for data. It's just a glitch and it only shows that it in the WAP site but it has no affect on your bill.
