Default How to delete MyFaves application from 8900

Hi all. Back when I was updating and installing beta and hybrid OS's on my 8900 I was able to get rid of the MyFaves app altogether. My old 8900 got stolen and I got a new one, and I have kept the stock .231 OS on it. For the life of me, I cannot find out how to delete get rid of MyFaves. I searched through here and people said to remove net_rim_tmo_five or whatever, and I found those and got rid of the files but when I open up DM (4.6) it only prompts me to update English UK support. What's going on?

Does your plan currently have myfaves on it?

When I went to the Unlimited Loyalty in Feb, myfaves dropped all together because it was no longer supported on my plan. I never saw the interface or the icons again after that.

You can remove the myfaves app by removing it from the OS installation files and reloading your OS. I believe crackmem has the option to remove myfaves built in.

Just a theory... isn't MF a pushed app from TMO? If it is, wouldn't you NOT have it anyway?

It's installed as standard T-Mobile stuff on new Berrys. It then hides in the background if you don't use it just taking up memory. But the good news is that it is easily deleted. I use MaxMem and delete it whenever I get a new Berry. Getting rid of MyFaves is one of the first things I usually do when I get a new Berry.

Sorry if I'm being dumb but I thought that myFaves would just go away completely if your plan wasn't a myfaves plan? (thus you would have no support for it?). I had no idea it was still in there...any idea how much mem it takes up?

I might have to fire up Crackmem and do away with it if it's just wasting space.
