Default Honest Feedback on Tmo Service

I have been jumping from ATT and Verizon for the past yr. Let me explain. I had verizon to begin with using a BB Bold 9650. Great phone. I paid the cancel fee to switch to ATT to get the Torch. Mistake because the Torch had too many glitches and call quality sucked. I again, paid to go back to verizon..lol please..i know. Got a droid x...awesome phone, but life for work really revolves around email - I need a bb again. I am thinking to get the BB 9780 because of the reviews. How is the service in the Tri-State? I am always jumping between Midtown/Downtown, Jersey City and Stamford.

Honest Input please.

PS. Should I only get the BB for data and use it for emails and keep my droid?

I've been with T-Mo for 12 years, in Portland, OR area. Never a dropped call. The only complaint I've had with them is when I have changes to my account or service. The rep always doesn't seem to get it correct the first time

If you are getting the Blackberry just for e-mail, save money and get the 9700. It's the same phone, only the 9780 has more memory and a better camera.

I've spent some time in the Tristate area and I felt that 3G (4G too, depending where you are) was very solid and held up nicely. You shouldn't have any problems either when you travel in the area.

T-Mobile is generally very good in well-populated areas that are near metro areas.

Cool

I've had T-Mobile for 6 years now and have been very happy. When I first went with them coverage was spotty but its greatly improved. I get EDGE data speeds around my block but everywhere else I travel I get solid 3G speeds. I do have the myTouch 4G and only have received 4G speeds once. In Chicago reception in great, as others indicated T-Mobile does very well in metropolitan areas.

My wife and I have had T-mobile for almost 10 years, we never had a problem. I have no plans off switching.

I live about 30 minutes or so West of Phillipsburg, NJ. When over on that side of the Delaware, T-Mobile signal is excellent. You are in the NYC coverage area, which is one of its strongest areas in the country.

Switched from Verizon to T-Mobile 3-4 years ago in Northern NJ... I get excellent reception and I'm happy with their service in my area... Don't miss Verizon and their expensive plans one bit.
