I found the tutorial and how to do it, but the OS6 i downloaded from somewhere wont load when I try to loader it in the desktop manager. It says it cant load that file. Can somebody either post a direct link to download it from and some directions ort point me in the right way.

did you delete the vendor.xml file and use the apploader in the files not thru desktop manager?

Sorry that was gibberish, I'm half asleep. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\loader.exe and load the OS that way. The vendor.xml file is in the same folder so you can delete it.

Well I downloaded the upgrade from a link on found somwhere on here that took me to a white screen in some wierd language. I found my phone in a dropdown menu and downladed the file it gave me. Tool an hour but I saved it to my desktop so its easier to find. But there is no folder. Its a file that when I double click it it goes to "Which program would u like to open this file with?"
Will it affect anything that I downloaded the newest version of desktop manager? Also when I plugged in my phone it says no available updates for your phone. We will email one when it becomes available

The file you downloaded should have been an .EXE file. When you RUN that file, it will INSTALL the OS to your computer.

After you INSTALL the OS to your computer, THEN you need to look for and delete the VENDOR.XML file.
