help finding an APP

If I have an application listed in my application list.....how can I make it appear on my phone?

It is NOT in my little application icons. You can see it when you go to settings and then applicaTIONS AND THEN HIT THE BUTTON SO IT BUILDS THE APPLICATION LIST.

I'M THINKING IF IT'S STORED ON THE PHONE THERE MUST BE A WAY TO MAKE IT OPERABLE.
I CAN not DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN. IT IS A NEW APPLICATION THAT HAS BEEN UPDATED AND i DON' WANT THE NEW app.. I WANT THE OLD APP THAT i ACCIDENTLY DELETED.

Have tried to see if the icon was hidden?

I thought hidden just meant it was "faded". is there actually hidden icons you can't see?
