Great Customer Service
I started feeling guilty watching my wife struggle with her 8320 while I was rocking my 9700. I decided to call Tmobile to talk about our options. I kindly explained that the phone's UMA had been giving us issues and the dropped calls at the house is getting unbearable. They mentioned that we can either pay full price for the 9700 (1 year away from upgrade availability) or swap the 8320 out. I explained we felt the phone was outdated and we would rather not go through the process of exchanges and certainly did not want to pay $400 for a new phone.
I then respectively asked how much it would cost to break our plan ($200). I explained that the better option would be to find a carrier better signal at our house, pay $200 to break contract, and buy ATT's 9700 under a new customer plan.
I was immediately transferred to an account representative and purchased a 9700 for $129.
Tmobile's coverage might not be as strong as competitors in some areas, but the customer service and price for plans will keep me around for a while.
