Default getting rid of useless service books

with every battery pull, my 9700 will keep downloading useless service books like need for speed, myspace, facebook, where's waldo and some other crap.
how do i prevent that from happening?

also, how can i get rid of the t-mobile homepage "web2go" from my bookmarks?
i can't delete it from the bookmarks option

You cannot get rid of them. If you delete them, they will just come back if you do a battery pull or reset your device.

Your best option is to create a junk folder, and move the icons associated with those service books to the junk folder, and then hide the junk folder. Those items are just links to apps, but they do not use a lot of memory in and of themselves.

T-Mobile is not the only carrier that pushes that stuff. AT&T has plenty of those things too. I hide all of it. Out of sight, out of mind!
