Default getting a BB data plan

ok after searching and searching and not finding an answer thought id post here and see if i can find some sense in it all.

I have a BB 8310 on tmobile Flext 30 plan. I have unlimited internet. But I dont have a BB data plan. (i didnt know that was even possible??) With what ive found out recently i think its a bit silly for them to sell blackberrys without BB data plans at all,but when i was getting mine I guess i didnt do enough research so ive ended up missing out.

When ive tried to sign up for email on tmobile website it gave me the "not registered with your wireless service provider". My facebook app has stopped working since i upgraded and i think its cos i dont have a data plan so now im seriously considering adding one. Does anyone know how much extra itll be? I feel like ive been a bit cheated seeing as im paying 30 a month for internet but not BIS isnt included. but like i said thats my bad for not researching it enough before i bought. halp!

Why not call Tmo and tell them all that?? Maybe they'll work with you on something, I'm sure they'd be excited to be selling a data plan. I doubt they'll give you a discount on a data plan, but maybe a credit on your account or something.

I think ill do that. They probably wont talk to me about it because its my dads name on the account, i did actually email a while ago and they kept insisting they spoke to the account holder.

aahhh, then yes, they're not going to just add a data plan without his consent.

I would call and ask.

Considering it's the UK tmo, they tend to have BB "boosters" for 5 pounds or so. I'm unaware if it includes unlimited data or just email. If I remember correctly, you get a cheap "BB email" booster and then a web booster for internet/apps.

But yeah, def call them up and ask!!!

About the "account holder" issue, you can be an authorized user on the account. Then you can make changes to it and such.

My cell bill is in my dad's name but it's my responsibilty to pay so I am an authorized user and can make changes.

Yes, it's possible. He needs to call in and add you as an authorized user. He basically just confirms HIS identity and then says "Oh, so-and-so is an authorized user" and that's it.

I'm an authorized user and make changes all the time...plan changes, phone upgrade, paying the bill...etc.
