Default Filtering mail from gmail to blackberry 8320... sms or data?

Hi All,

I am planning to get a blackberry 8320 from tmobile but just for now i am not interested to get the data plan (expensive!! and they wont give me the web2go plan on a smart phone ... ). However i have to get atleast the unlimited text messaging in order to get the phone for a good price, so i was wondering if anyone can tell me if ill be charged additional fee or it will be considered a SMS if i setup my Gmail to forward me email to my blackberry [using gmail filter not forwarding].

thanks in advace

You can't use e-mail or Instant messages with no data plan.. And now t mobile requires u to have a data plan in order to get a new phone unless u buy it retail
