Question Error 734: on T-Mobile US

I searched the entire forum but could not find the straight answer. All other threads filled with data plan discussions.

Now, everything is all set but when I try to tether my 8900 I receive that error:
"error 734 the ppp link control protocol was terminated".

Please only straight answer needed. No need to discuss BB data plan or PC and/or modem setup issues.

Thank you in advance.

Are you using at+cgdcont=1,"IP","wap.voicestream.com" in your extra initialization commands?

I know you guys know more than I but you might want to double check using this configurator from T-Mobile. I kept having problems and this got me hooked up fine using 8900 as modem with T-Mobile:

I was getting a few errors while trying to tether my 8320. I called TMO tech support and they did everything possible to help me out. The issue, Windows XP in my opinion. When I got my notebook it came with Windows Vista. I downgraded to XP because I didn't like Vista. That's when the problems with tethering started. I went back to upgrade to Vista and what do you know? Tethering works now. I'm actually posting this via my BBs tethering connection. Would I get rid of my broadband cable? There's a 50/50 chance. Not sure yet. I don't see why I should pay over $40+ for internet when I can use my BB to go online.

So your problem might lie in the Windows OS itself. I'm not going to guarantee that THATS the issue with you but you might keep it in mind.
