Default EM+ to EM plan?

Hopefully one of you kind T-Mo reps can help. Last year I switched to an EM+ plan(no contract). Today I was on my-t-mobile.com in my account looking to switch back and couldn't find a way. Is it something I have to do live with a CSR over the phone or in a store seeing that it would mean going back to a contract plan? Just wondering my options.

why do you want to pay more on your plan per month? do you want to get a new phone?if not why are you switching...you will pay 20 more dollars per month and you are locked into a 2 year contract then if you get rid of the even more plus plan?

You can't switch back, it's a one way conversion. When you migrate from Even More or a Legacy plan with a CSR or online (or activate on an EM+ plan) it's outlined that you cannot convert to a contract capable plan/account type such as Even More. Is there a particular reason you wanted to switch to Even More?

I went to a EM+ plan (the 79.99 one) and ended up switching back to my old Unlimited Loyalty plan because I realized how much I needed the phone discounts. I was lucky to get a really nice rep in Retentions to help me and I learned my lesson. But again, I think I was lucky. For most people, once you get EM+, you're stuck.

Any reason why you want to go back to EM? I went back to my older plan because it turned out to be much cheaper than the newer EM plans but when JUST comparing EM+ and EM plans, EM+ is clearly better. I'll explain why...

EM+ unlimited everything is 79.99/month while EM unlimited everything is 99.99/month.
With EM+, you can pay full retail for a phone over the course of 20 months. A $400 smartphone (like a BB) will cost you $20 extra for 20 months, so you'll be paying 99.99 (same price as EM) for that time.

With EM, you pay like $200 (discount price) for a new device PLUS you're paying more per month on top of that. You end up spending a lot more.

Hope this helps.

I agree with ya, bud - the math is with you there. But here's the challenge: for a guy like me who constantly updates his phone, EM is WAY WAY WAY better than EM+. Here's my math:

12 months on EM+: 12x$80= $960 + $450 (full price for Bold) = $1410
12 months on EM: 12x$100= $1200 + $99 (discounted price on Bold) : $1299

So, what happens after a year? I get another discount. Whereas, if I am on the EM+ plan, I can never, ever, ever, ever, ever get a discounted phone ever, ever, ever again. But on EM, I can get a discount every year...and I will them up on that.

So to answer the original poster's question:

YES!!! You can switch back to a EM plan. You want to know how I know you can? Because I JUST DID. Call up T-Mobile by dialing 611, when the lady asks you why you're calling, say "Account Number". This will transfer you to the Retentions/Loyalty Department. Ask them to switch your account back to EM because you had no idea that you would NEVER be eligible for a phone upgrade, and then they will make it happen. It took them 3 business days to do mine because it needed to go through a supervisor, but hey...it happened. And I've only been a customer of T-Mobile since August 6. (I made the mistake of buying full price and going EM+ without realizing that one year from now, I couldn't upgrade...or the year after that or the year after that)
