Default edge v. EDGE

Just a question about EDGE when it goes to lowercase "edge" yet still has full bars of service? This can happen to me occasionally and keep BeeJive from working, my e-mail and text messages from getting to me, until I do a battery pull, and edge will go back to EDGE.

I was just wondering why it goes lowercase like that. Does that mean a brief outage?

It might be a tower issue. I had the same problem a couple of months ago. I reported it to T-Mobile because mine was like that for hours at a time. They found the problem with the tower and all has been fine.

Pull the battery then the SIM. Once you do that, put the SIM back in then but the battery back in. This will resync the phone with the nearest functional tower. Hope that helps.

Usually lowercase edge means you don't have data services available, try the recommended tips or contact TMO and make sure there's no issues with your data services.
