dropping calls

my phone constantly drops calls. i would say for every 2call i make... i fdrop service at least once during the conversation and have to call back.

I thought maybe this was just where I live(2-3 bars of signal)..... but then I had a friend sign up and she has ALL HER BARS of service, and is dropping calls and now is mad I made her sign up with tmo.

This has been happening way more lately . I would say the past 6 months.

Any ideas?

I have an 8900 with actual wifi service( I mean it's on ..not just that the phone is capable, also data).

Can anybody tell me possibly some setting to tweak my phone for enhanced connection?

What area are you dropping calls? Have you called into customer care yet? I would start there first.

Have you tried to see if the calls are dropped because of UMA? I've had to turn my UMA off in my house because the signal is weak in certain rooms of my home. I just use EDGE in my home instead of UMA.
