Default Do i need more than one key for... T-Mobile

my wife and i are currently in T-Mobile. matter of fact, we were with them before they were T-Mobile. Like Omnipoint. Then PCS One.

anyway, i think we are tired of their shenanigans and weighing our options to jump. we currently have 2 cells purchased from T-Mobile. A BB Pearl and a BB Flip.

my question is, do we need multiple codes to unlock each phone, if we do decide to leave this service. or can we use the same code that is provided for us.

Thanks!

You would have to call Customer Care and request two different unlock codes, they are based off of IMEIs.

each phone has it's own birth certificate. They are distinct baby's. For each phone you will give TM the PIN and IMEI numbers that they use to generate each phone's unlock code.

When you call CS just tell them you are going out the the country on vacation and they will give the unlock codes.
Once you have the phones unlocked they will be able to be used on any GSM service.
Once unlocked they are always unlocked.
And, there is no reason for a 're-lock', if that is even possible.

If you have an old Omni expired contract, and did still have their old grandfathered plan, you likely still have a good deal. Old TM BB prices in the US are usually cost effective compared to ATT.
