Default Discounted BB plan?

I'm probably going to be adding a BB plan to my wife's phone. We have a family plan with unlimited texting, and I pay $20 for my BB plan, from maybe a year or so ago. What are the chances of me getting her BB plan at $20 also?

Thanks for any opinions!

You got to negociate that with your carrier.
It depends of a lot of things: how much you give them a month, for how many time you there...

Nope...sorry dude, you gotta pay the new rate of $24.99. Unless you cancel your BB service, your phone will be $20/month.

If you cancel it, you can't get the $20/month back, you'll have to pay $24.99.

The boat I'm in....I had to cancel my $20/month cuz I was out of the country for a year, when I reactive it next month, they are gonna charge me $24.99.

Once you cancel a grandfathered plan, you can't get it back.

Agreed. Rates change. The $20 plan has been gone for about 8 months now.

Yep, the only plan you can add now is the 24.99.

Also, if you upgrade your BB, there is a chance you'll lose your old plan.

I had the 19.99 BIS and 9.99 Unlimited Messages on my contract plan for a while. I had moved to EM+ and then (I got lucky) I moved back to my old plan when I requested it. I then upgraded to the 9700 for 129 and the rep told me that in order to satisfy the BB data requirement, she would have to move up to the 34.99 plan, messages included obviously.

Ah well.

Well boo to Artemis' observation...

I can handle the $25 for hers, and her boss mentioned possibly paying for her BB plan so they can continue to use BBM and such. We shall see what happens when the time comes...

Oh, and thanks everyone for their opinions...

Stupid question... I've seen many people post they pay $25 for the BIS. I am paying $30, the TMO web page says $30, am I missing something? I know some have grandfathered the $20 plan but is this $25 also grandfathered?

Yes, the 24.99 is now grandfathered too.

When I got my Bold 9700 last week, I was told I had to either add 25 dollar unlimited data or 15 dollar unlimited texting to my family account. I chose the cheaper option. Strange how that doesn't match the website.

I believe it would be $25 for my wife because we have unlimited texting on our family plan already.

I am currently paying $30 unlimited BIS and $10 unlimited text and I see those are the only BIS/Text options offered with EM, are there secret add-ons I am not aware of?

I would like to pay something like $5 for 250 or 400 texts, I don't use that many texts but I use enough where it would cost more to be charged per usage vs unlimited...

No, with the newer plans, that's the only option available.

I have 34.99 for Unlimited Data and Msg but that's because I'm still on an older plan.
