Exclamation Delayed e-mails with attachments?

This has been going on for some time now. I have called T-Mobile and they couldn't do much other than resend service books and do a battery pull. They also transferred me to RIM and they said my AOL account is fine and all updated. If someone sends me an e-mail I will not usually receive until another email is sent a couple hours later. So I always get 2 e-mails together instead of separately. This is very annoying because I got a very important e-mail an hour late today. Seems to be happening when there is any content in the message whether attachments or embedded pictures.

I am getting them online right away, they're just not going to my blackberry. I have AOL and am connected through UMA.

I really appreciate any suggestions.

How fast do you receive an email with no attachments or pictures on your AOL email on your BB?

A few seconds but sometimes it varies. AN email will be sent and with only text and I won't get it until another email is sent. Always get 2 emails at once.

Have you tried deleting the mail account off of your BB and then adding it again to see if that will work?

I'm having the same problem, but I thought it was because I upgraded to OS6.

Cool

I have deleted the account on the blackberry and re-added it. That doesn't help. UMA makes no difference whatsoever. I always get 2 emails together as one was sent earlier. I noticed this ever since I upgraded to OS 5 on my curve 8900.

Maybe enough people are not complaining because they are still in fact getting their emails. Its just delayed. This is very frustrating and T-mobile can't do anything and RIM says everything is updated.

OMG I'm so glad to see I'm not alone. Calling T-Mobile or RIM doesn't help. They just update everything and resend service books which does nothing. There has gotta be something wrong with the server.

Today I got an email from 1-800 Contacts at 9:35am. My next email came from Apple.com at 11:06am. BOTH WERE DELIVERED TO MY DEVICE AT 11:07am??? I don't get why the first one came nearly an hour and a half late?

Hi Matt,

Thanks for pointing me to this thread.. I'm also having the same issues with my Hotmail. No issues with Yahoo or Gmail which are also configured on my 9780. I usually get E-mails on my 9780 3-7hrs after they were sent to my Hotmail address.. This is annoying..

I've done battery pulls, deleted and resent service books and deleted and re-added my Hotmail E-mail account but no dice..

This is beyond frustrating. I missed 3 emails today. If I wouldn't have checked my email on the computer I would have probably missed them entirely. Once I was online I opened one and then chose mark as unread and all 3 came to my device at the same time.

I am going to call T-Mobile again in a little while and try to explain again. This is a service issue. Others are experiencing it and just don't realize it. There has to be something wrong with RIM's e-mail servers going through T-Mobile. I know for a fact its not my phone as my 8900 did the same exact thing. Can anyone out there suggest anything that I have not done.

I have already:

*Resent service books about a million times.
*Deleted my AOL email account then re-added it by going to setup.
*Deleted my AOL email account on T-Mobile.com also
*Called T-Mobile and had them send test emails.
*Had RIM UPDATE my email account.
*Pulled the battery (This doesn't help at all)
*Using a brand new 2010 T-Mobile SIM card. Was experiencing this issue on my 2006 SIM card also.

Could this be a bug on the leaked version of OS 6?

OS 5 did it on my curve 8900. The BOLD 9780 shipped with an official os 6 version which was .285. I am running a leaked version but the same problem occurred in the official version.

I don't think it is, because I downgraded back to OS5 and I'm still having the same problem.

Also, I have the same problem on Nexus One. It's probably not BlackBerry but Tmo's network.

I've been dealing with this issue for a long time, feels like a month, but I can't be sure.

Same symptoms: AOL emails generally only received in batches (although sometimes I get my batches in 2, 3 or 4).

My solution: When I have a spare second, I send myself an email to push the messages through the pipe. If it comes through with other messages, good to go. If it doesn't, I reply again until they come through.

Good thing I'm in the middle of a home purchase transaction, as if those messages aren't time sensitive or important.

Frustrating, and unacceptable when you think about it. The preponderance of evidence across the boards indicate a RIM issue and not device/OS-specific. I don't really want to cut ties as the new 4G devices roll out and I'm sitting on a 2-year device credit, because, after all, aren't these things in part billed as superior messaging devices? Hasn't been the case for a month for me...

I don't want to hear about workarounds. This is a gigantic company in an extremely competitive market. And they're going to be a small company getting run over if they continue to rely on their customers to do workarounds.
