Default daylight savings time
my 9700 inst changing to the new time, despite having done a battery pull, and trying to update the time. is this happening to anyone else, or just me. how do i fix it so it will recognize the time change?

never mind...i just checked it one more time, and my phone was set to central america rather than central time...wow, im really special today

Your phone also will not update if you are not set to network time, fyi.

Forgot it was daylight savings time today. Woke up and my 9700 was showing the new time. Of course I use the "netowrk time" settings.

I've always taken for granted that my phone would update for the time changes. I was schooled today by my favorite PDA rep as to why and why not a Blackberry or any other phone would and would not update to DST. A family member did not have my old Pearl set to network time and thus did not update.
