Data Throttling Even With Low Usage?
i've been with T-Mo for almost eight years, and i've been a BB user for the past four or five of those years. i've always had an unlimited data plan.
last night i received a text from T-mo telling me that my data rate would be throttled for the remainder of my billing cycle because of "heavy usage". but having checked my account, i've only used about 105MB's since my last bill (and i've never even come remotely close to 5GB's or any sort of "soft cap"). this is the second time this has happened over the past few months.
i'd totally understand throttling my data if i got near 5GB's or whatever soft cap T-Mobile has set, but i find it strange that both times i've gotten this message, i haven't even been over 200MB's (and like i said, i have an unlimited data plan). what gives? does T-Mobile throttle based on how much data you use in a short period of time? i've triple-checked my account to make sure that my data plan wasn't changed (it still shows unlimited data, NOT the 200MB plan).
is this a new thing with T-Mo, or is it some kind of error on their part?
