Default Curve 8330 on Sprint to 8900 on TMO?

I'm new to the Blackberry experience (and have already realized why this site is called Crackberry ). I signed a contract with Sprint and got a Curve 8330 but am still within the 30 day period to cancel my service. Is it worth it to switch to TMobile for the 8900?

Two things are holding me back - no 3g for the 8900, and I am new to the area in which I live and use the Sprint Navigator a lot, so it would be missed.\

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

The Blackberry 9700 (Onyx) will (most likely) be out within the next month on T-Mobile. It has 3G. I would definitely wait for that instead of the 8900. I am, and so is pretty much everyone else on here...lol...

I personally have never had gps on a phone but I have a friend who uses the gps function on hers. I have a Garmin and I much more prefer that over using the actual phone. If you can budget for one of those if you don't mind two separate devices, I'd recommend it.

I looked into the Bold 9700 but everyone on here says it could be $299 or more. That's just more than I can afford right now, especially when I went into the Tmo dealer yesterday and he said he could give me the 8900 out the door for $50 with no activation fee. Is the 8900 worth it?

The 8900 has GPS as well, but it doesn't run as smoothly as Sprint's. I feel the 8900 is a much better phone than the 8330, minus the lack of 3G.

Dedicated GPS units will always outperform GPS apps on phones, because that's their main purpose. The calculator on my 8900 works in a pinch, but it can never beat my TI-84. My 8900 does the job for navigation when it's a reasonably simple task.

9700 vs 8900 depends on how heavy your internet usage will be on the phone, because that's where you'd see the main difference.

For $50, the 8900 is an awesome choice

You can use Telenav with Tmobile, you just have to subscribe directly from Telenav. It'll cost 9.99 per month.

Sometimes they run specials if you pay for the year in advance.
