Default Can't Receive Photos on Curve

Hello all. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue. I have an unlimited data plan on my 8320, but I can never receive photos that friends send to my phone. I can receive photos via my email account, but not if it is sent to my phone number. I have no problem sending pictures via mms that I take with my phone. What is going on? Is there a setting that I should be looking into?

Check your memory level. If you don't have enough memory, you won't be able to download MMS. Clear your cache and your event log and retry to download and send MMS.

Yep, sounds like an MMS problem.

Go into MMS settings in the options and make sure it's set up to retrieve always.

I would also call up T-Mobile and have them troubleshoot your phone. I've had them do that for me when I had MMS problems and sometimes it fixes it. Other times, it just fixes itself with either a battery pull/time, because sometimes there are local outages.

I had this EXACT same problem when I bought my 8320 from tmobile! No one at tmobile could tell me WHY it was doing it or HOW to FIX it!!! So seeing as the phone was orginally in its '14 day trial' they exchanged it after 7 days and gave me another brand new one. The brand new one was STILL doing the same thing after I got it home and started having people try and send me mms messages. I finally figured out that it had to do with the original 4.2 software on it and mms pictures will NEVER come to your phone even though your phone says its set up right on your phone and through tmobiles services. Tmobile will say NOTHING is WRONG on their end. You need to update to the current 4.5 software through the apploader on your computer. Make sure you make a backup of all your files/address book/etc before doing this though because if you don't you'll lose everything on your phone! if you don't have access to a real computer to do this you can go to a corporate tmobile store and they should help you with the apploader process if you meet certain 'conditions' under their rules, one being NOT HAVING ACCESS TO A COMPUTER TO DO IT. I hope reading this and following these steps helps you solve your problem! It fixed my mms problem instantly! Goodluck!!
