Call rententions and beg?
That's the only way to get it. If the rep says no, hang up and try again.

Whats included with this 19.99 plan? Just unlimited data? or does it come with any messaging. I have unlimited data for 19.99 and unlimited messages for 14.99..

Do I have the best deal here?

Thanks everyone, it always helps to save some money!

you dont have to beg, i have done it on my 2 blackberry and also gotten the 5.99 t-zones back on my other 2 lines (iphones)

dial 611 and say cancel. it will connect you to loyalty dept. nicely explain to them that a store rep told you when you asked about lowering your bill to ask for "preferred BIS add-on unlimited"

check back and let us know

The 19.99 is only for unlimited data. No messaging included.

I'm on the 34.99 plan since it's just me on my plan and I need text. If you use a lot of text, that may be the best deal for you.

I just changed my blackberry to the $19.99 data plan. They did not want to change it, but tell them that you spoke with a rep and because of a problem they gave you the code PREFBBBIS even though they haven't done it in awhile.

You'll have to use a 3rd party app for email. No email without BIS/BES.

Call tmobile and get the BB feature enabler for free. It'll allow you to send/receive IMs on the native IM clients. It will use text messages though. You'll also be able to send MMS.

They told me about two plans.

$39.99 for unlimited data and texting. $34.99 for unlimited data and 400 texts.

That's wrong.

It's 24.99 for unlimited data and 400 texts.
34.99 for unlimited data and unlimited texts. (this is the plan I have)

The 19.99 unlimited data is an old "grandfathered" plan so you can't add it anymore. You'd have to call retentions and ask them.

I think that if you use a dumb phone, IM is counted as messages. But on BB it is implemented via data.

If you have unlimited messages but NO BB data plan, then the IMs and MMS will be counted as text messages, so no big deal. You still still need the blackberry feature enabler though for the IM to work, but it's free through tmobile so no big deal either.

IMs only count as data if you're using a data plan.

Not a problem.

Just be persistent. Don't let some rep bully you into getting a data plan. Just say you want the feature enabler and that's all you need to say.
