Default Can I add insurance on my BB that wasn't bought at T-Mobile?

So if something happens to it and needs replacing I can get it handled.

Nope, you can't.

You can, however, get good external insurance for your BB.
Check out Square Trade.

I think you can add insurance, but even if the device is under 1 year old, you can't get the manufacturer's warranty.

I asked T-Mobile about getting insurance on a phone that I didn't get from them and I was told as long as it's T-Mo branded I'd be able to.

I am a retail sales manager for T-Mobile, and you can't add insurance to any phone that is not purchased from a T-mobile corporate or authorized dealer store.

And the warranty is no good either.

Your warranty is handled through the manufacturer, but your carrier vouches for the rules that keep you within your warranty guidelines, i.e. only having one sim card used in the phone with said warranty.
