Default calls always fail & only last up to 4hrs max

Hey everyone:-) I'm new here and a total noob. I'm gonna need all the help I can get. I've been a frequent lurker on these boards, hoping to learn more.

I don't know if this is T-Mobile fault or something with my phone. Even though my phone is fully charged I can never have a conversation going on longer than 4hrs max, then fail. I don't understand why and it's such a pain. Please help me out, somebody :-(

First of all WOW, I like how you say a 4 hour conversation.

You can easily look up the stats of your phone and it will tell you the talk time and standby time.

What exactly do you mean by after 4 hours of conversation the call "fails"? Do you mean the network drops the call or your phone shuts off? There is a big difference between a call failing and your phone dying.

The standard battery for the 8320 provides you with up to 240 minutes, or 4 hours, of talk time. If you are having a consecutive 4 hour conversation on your phone, then it is normal for the phone to shut itself off before the conversation is over.

If it is dropping calls after 4 hours, this may be because of the feature that shuts the radio off when the battery gets down to 5%.

I suggest keeping your phone plugged into a charger if you are going to be talking on it for that long.

Like another poster said your standard 8320 battery will give you 240 minutes of talk time. I would imagine you should be experiencing suspension of the radio activilty prior to the phone shutting off. This obviously would end your call.

I would suggest that you tote a large battery around that has a usb connect for portable laptop power. Then you could use your usb connect tor for additional power. Talking for 4 hours on one call must be some serious exchage of info.

WOW! Four hours? My ear would fall off after one hour. LOL I'm surprised your BB lasts that long, especially if you have all those apps running, updating, etc.

Maybe the other person had enough of you so they hung up. Haha I love CB! :-)

I used to do that in high school with girlfriends. Usually ended up with me falling asleep somewhere in the middle of a conversation

That was me in high school also. I couldn't keep track of my girls. I used to talk to girls for hours, at times ending up falling asleep on the phone and all they would hear is me snoring. LMAO Those were the times.

I AM a girl in hs haha.
Yes, I keep it plugged in, that's what I meant by it always being fully charged even when it d/c's. The battery doesn't die, the calls are dropped at exactly the 4th hour.
4 hours aren't that much to me just like 4 hours isn't long staring into your bb's screen/ moniter screen :-)
