I'm guessing that tmobile used to use the 7243 number for everything (i.e., voicemail retrieval as well as all "call diversion" settings. That number still works for all those things, but I'm guessing tmobile recently changed their default settings such that 7243 is used for voicemail retrieval, whereas 7249 is used for call diversion.
The reason my phone got set to something other than default was because I had used a tip I found online somewhere to maximize the number of rings before an unanswered call goes to voicemail. The command I used was this:
**61*18056377243**30#
It works great, but it changed my "If No Reply" to the 7243 number. No harm done, as it seems to work fine, but it just caused me some confusion when looking at it.
Just in case it matters, I set my call diversion numbers back to default with this command:
##004#
...and then put back the extra-long (30 second) no-answer diversion delay with this (using the 7249 number):
**61*18056377249**30#
