Default California 3G

what is everyone's experience on Tmobile's 3G network in CA, I've heard it varies from place to place on the reliability and strength of the signal, and I'm contemplating upgrading to the 9700 from my 8900, and wanted to see if the speed issue is a pro or con. Thanks!

CA is a big place - where do you live - LA? Bay Area? SD?

I've been tracking speed results if that helps at all.

West Los Angeles too.

I'm not seeing any big difference with 3G. Now let me be honest and say that most of the time I use data, I'm in a WiFi zone so comparing 3G against WiFi is probably unfair. But so far, 3G is not any big deal for me.

Let me also say, I NEVER get Edge anymore. My 3G is constant. I've had the 9700 since Monday and I've never seen it switch to Edge. It always reads 3G.

I was thinking about switching to tmobile & droid - good to know 3G is alive and well in Los Angeles. Anybody else in LA/San Fernando Valley?
