Default Buying a pearl(tmobile)

I'm buying a pearl off someone and never have bought a USED phone before. It's already Tmobile but how do i make sure it is now registered to me? What else should I be doing?
Hw much should I be paying if it is in very good condition and basically just comig with original boxed equipment.

It's the regular pearl and NOT the flip

Well, is it unlocked? Going with T-Mobile also?

Not a pricing guru but sounds like $100-200...

Just call up T-Mobile's customer support and have them check it out. Make sure you get a new PIN for it so you aren't getting someone else's PIN msgs. THAT can be annoying. A new pearl is $350 if you buy it outright so I guess you have to go by the condition. Be sure to look over the software also to make sure it looks ok. If you've never had a BB, you might not really know what to look for but hopefully if anything drastic is wrong, the person will give you your money back.

Besides checking out the phone itself. Check the software to make sure it's up to date (if not you can always do it yourself). It should be 4.5. Once you do this, do a handset wipe to restore the phone back to its original state.

I sold a pearl for fifty bucks...didn't have wifi though....awesome phone. call tmo and ask to talk to blackberry/pda tech directly. they will answer all your questions and help you get set up. if it needs to be unlocked, they will do so for free. other carriers charge I believe.... enjoy...especially if its a wifi device.
