Default buying a device in a store and returning it via mail?

is it possible to buy a new phone or upgrade in a tmobile corporate location and return it by mail?

and if so would the charges be returned to your credit card or credited to your account?

Why not just return it to the store?

I'm curious about this too.

To answer your question though, a store purchase must be returned to a store. If it was a new line of service, it must go back to the same store

It's a good question I think because some of us live far away from T-Mobile stores. I would much prefer to take the time to drive to a store and get a phone there and dealing with it in person than over the phone. however, what if I have a problem and need to return it? I need to go ALL the way back?? What if I'm busy and just can't?

It would be nice to be able to send it back via mail regardless of where it came from and be able to get my money back OR a refurb.

That's fair. The problem lies in the inventory/point of sale system. Care uses a different ordering and inventory system, which stores don't have access to. As a result, care cannot access our receipts, and vice versa.
