Default browser on wifi

Ok I am thinking about something....I am sick of 125 a month bills and I really dont use my internet that much on my BB.....If I switch to TMO and get the 8900.....I am thinking of not getting a BB plan...If I do that, will I still have Internet access when I am in a a wifi area (my House, work, etc.) Will I pay for that anyways or is it free? I am thinking of just getting a voice+small text plan, but would still like to be able to jump on the phone and browse when in a wifi area...Is it possible??/

Yes. If you have wifi access you won't get charged for the internet. A lot of people are doing this. Pretty soon when a google voice (I think that's it) becomes available you can talk over the internet and avoid having to pay for minutes.
Hope this helps you with your questions

I say go for it, I have a 8900 with no data, (I have data on my 8120) but I'm usually always somewhere with WiFi so what's the point, EDGE is slower than WiFi

Default thanks

yeah I know EDGE is slower, but I find that I dont use my phone a whole lot for the internet...Will I still get emails? I am getting tired of playing games with the Storm and would like to have a reliable phone that I dont have to fool with all the time....I have tried all different OS and I am tired of it... but the main thing is I am tired of the phone bill!!! It looks like I can get a plan+ some texts thru TMO pretty reasonable, and I would like to be able to get on the internet when I want (thru WIFI)....Thanks, I am gonna think about it a little more....I am kind of worried about TMO coverage in my area...the map shows coverage, but no one I know has TMO service.....Who is the other main provider that you roam off of so I can check theirs too?

You won't get push emails without a BIS data plan. No emails, no BB Messenger, no BB Maps, no MSN Messenger. You'd have to substitute apps that access email and instant messaging over Wi-Fi. The CrackBerry "Wi-Fi Discussion & Help" forum has a few threads on Wi-Fi app substitutions.
