Default Broken Phone...bought off ebay..paid for insurance what do I do?

Ok...so the charging piece on my phone is broken...the car charger and the home charger will not charge it..I bought the phone used off ebay...came with all accessories in excellent condition a little less than a year ago..with the box etc...it is Tmobile...I already was paying for insurance on my katalyst and I asked tmobile if the insurance would carry over to this BB even if it was bought from ebay..and she said if i put it on after I got the BB NO...but if I already had it on my phone IT WOULD...I had another malfunction with the trackball falling out...and when I called the insurance company I got from tmobile told me that it would be 100 for me to have it serviced...and they asked me where I got it...but they also told me trackball wasn't covered if it was taken out..so I opted to get one off the internet...so basically...will Tmobile insurance cover this? What do I say to the insurance company when they ask where I bought it? Anyone know anywhere to get it fixed on my own...also just switched to a new plan that eliminates me from upgrades...so basically I have to buy a new phone...what's the best thing to do?

Just like the T-Mobile rep said "if you got the insurance before you bought the BlackBerry" it is covered. I'm not sure if the phone is covered if purchased through Ebay though. It should be covered because I asked the same question to a rep and she told me that if I get a new phone the insurance would just transfer right over to it, though she did not specify if I had to purchase it through T-Mobile in order for it to be covered. I would call and ask.

I doubt it would be covered if it's used.

The phone isn't covered or shouldn't be as you bought it used! Telling the insurance company anything other than the truth is FRAUD! The reason they are asking where you got it is because the imei isn't matching up with what they have on file!
Heck with the deals going on now you might be able to get a newer BB with a contract extension

Also a cheaper solution may be to contact HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center ß they repair BB's have excellent reputation and service

Why not call Tmobile retention department and tell them you will cancel service if they don't make it right?
If you have been with them long enough they will do it, It worked for me when I bought A used G1 with a broken touch screen.
