Blackberry 8900 if I use the warranty will I get a brand new one or a refurbished one?

If you 8900 is less than 30 days old, you will get a new one. Over 30 day up to 1 year, you will get a refurbished unit. That isn't necessarily a bad deal, since you will be exchanging a used, defective unit for a used, formerly defective unit that has been repaired.

Plus I read somewhere that refurbs go through stringent QA before they go out into circulation again. They also check for other things besides the defect they go in for and repair them.

My 8900 was refurbished but looked like new when i got it replaced back in the summer
