Default What about programs like Pandora and Slacker? Is there a data cap?

Hello, I have some questions about my data plan. See the link below:

http://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/...621a9c265g.jpg

It says that I have Blackberry Unlimited Data. What does this mean exactly? Is there a cap on data usage for standalone programs such as Slacker or Pandora that are not going through a web browser?

What about downloads via web pages, such as dl'ing themes from pimpmyberry or this web site?

Hopefully, I have posted this to the right place.

Or you guys could wisen up, and move to SPRINT.. the ONLY wireless carrier that doesn't charge extra for Blackberry Internet Service, Txt messages, or the like.

You get UNLIMITED data, UNLIMITED Txt.. and pay $0.00

Just confirmed this yesterday. BIS does not count towards the 400 messages. Three different people told me it is an error on the website. In addition if you go to T-mobile.com and read about BIS emails it will tell you there they do not count towards your total. As far as im's go I use yahoo, and it goes against data, and I was told by t-mobile that if the im program is provided by blackberry on their website than those also just work on data. Have not confirmed that though.

Let's refrain from posting false information. Instant messaging does NOT count as texting. That's N-O-T. It does NOT count as texting. Instant messaging uses the internet, i.e., the BIS data plan...

If somebody sends an e-mail to your 1234567890@tmomail.net address, it is converted and sent to your phone as an SMS and will count toward the 400 SMS/MMS messages. If you reply to that SMS, the reply is sent from your phone as an SMS and will count toward the 400 SMS/MMS messages.

E-mails to/from your BIS email addresses pass through your BIS data plan and will never count toward the 400 SMS/MMS messages.

'twas me.

I started scratching my head when earlier posts stated email is BIS not messages. For months I'd thought the unlimited web didn't include any email, and I thought the unlimited web + 400 only included 400 e-mails. What good is a BB without unlimited email?

Last night I had an "aha!" (or "duh!") moment when I finally realized the T-Mo plans are talking about phonenumber@tmomail.net e-mail which is actually e-mail access to SMS messaging. Five seconds later I was on the T-Mo website choosing a cheaper data plan.

Today I checked my messaging usage. The only messaging charges were SMS messages that I sent and received plus one notification that was sent to my phonenumber@tmomail.net address. Five seconds later I was on the web changing those notifications to use my BIS email.

That is the plan I have and recommended if your use a lot of data / messages. Also with t-mobile you don't have an extra fee to use your berry as a tethered modem. Also you don't have a 5gig monthly cap to use your berry as a tethered modem.
In regards to tethered modem....do you need the BB web plan or will a voice only plan still allow you to tether?

Yes, you need a data plan before you can tether your laptop to your phone's data connection. Either the Unlimited Web or the Unlimited Web + 400 SMS plan. Web=BIS=data
