Default Blackberry Messenger International Usage

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to this whole thing, so forgive me if this is a stupid question. But I recently got the Curve 8900 for T-Mobile, with an unlimited blackberry data plan. I am currently in Romania, and will be for the next couple of months. I can live without the main data on my phone, but for the messenger application, will I incur any charges if I use it on the Romanian network that my phone picks up? (I assume it would be free on Wifi, but correct me if I am wrong...) Thanks!

Maybe.

I don't get charged for my international data usage (going back to 2007, and as recently as last month), but several on here have said that they have been charged.

In terms of actual usage, assuming I just use the Messenger, and don't use email or browsing on my phone, how much data would a typical messenger conversation use? I have no idea about the size of BBM's in comparison to emails/web pages?

I use BBM in & out of the country to FRance and UK with the INT data plan and I never got charged for anything else but BBM won't work on Wi-Fi only, you need a data plan.
