Default blackberry data plan

Okay im going to convince my dad to get my blackberry data plan with unlimited package. The only problem is, idk what the actual price it is and stuff. Ive been using wifi around my house and the good thing about that is i dont have to pay for it lol.

Any pros and cons about the data plan?

The only con I can think of is cost: $25-35 per month.

Pros are all the apps that you need a data plan to use, and others that you'll be able to use out of WiFi range. Push email, BB Messenger, BB Maps, Facebook, etc.

If you really don't need the BlackBerry plan I would not recommend getting it, unless your dad is cool with spending an additional $25-$35 a month.

If you really need e-mail on your BlackBerry and a few other applications then go ahead and get the plan, but if you don't it would be better if you save that money towards college or something like that...

I just activated the Unlimited for $34.99/Month, I turned off my Unlimited Domestic messages to activate this, now TMO is billing me for received texts until the service is activated on my phone.

Ouch. I called T-Mo last night to change my rate plan/data plan and they set it up so that the Unlimited Web expires on the 17th and the Unlimited Web + Messaging will automatically go into effect that same day. You should call them and see if they can set-up something like that for you.

For $35, you'll get Unlimited Data, Unlimited Text Messaging plus tethering(phone as modem). You'll be able to do far more things with your BB. Also, you'll be able to use your BB as a modem which TMO doesn't charge for. That's sweet. Other carriers like AT&T charge you $65 for the Blackberry Data Plan + Tethering. Data Add-on is only $60.00 if you buy it with an individual or FamilyTalk voice plan. That's $25 or $30 for just tethering. Are they insane? LOL I like having the option of hooking up my notebook to my BB. It's your call.

the new data plan, not with unlimited messages, is $24.95.. if you are receiving it at $19.99 thats bc you were grandfathered in from your prior service. if you were to cancel that then readd it you would be charged the normal $24.95.

Since I am still under Suncom, my unlimited data plan is $15 and T-Mo is trying hard as h_ll to get Suncom customers to switch to T-Mo. Lol! Good luck with that. My phone plan is for 1,000 minutes for $29.99, but under t-mo it will increase to $49.99!

Wait ... so it was $19.99 for unlimited web + unlimited messages? Or 19.99 for only the unlimited web?
