Is BIS down or is it just me?

I'm in New York (specifically Manhattan) and I haven't received anything since 2AM. Emails are not coming in or going through. The phone can't connect to email settings, but the browser works fine and I have 3G along with the BlackBerry symbol in the top right.

Have tried all the normal procedures and am on the phone with T-Mobile, who seems not to be able to help.

We are in Washington DC, no BIS mail since 1:29AM EST and outgoing mail "resending/not sending."

I believe it is... I had to swap devices yesterday, and I've had problems getting bbm back into play...

I'd called sprint, she said it was on their end, perhaps it's BIS...

You would THINK T-Mobile reps would know when they are doing maintenance.

Been trying to send and receive through AT&T since 8 a.m. (a half hour ago) -- no dice in this part of New York either (instant messaging OK though) -and my wife in Afghanistan is experiencing the same problem with Verizon -- any ideas folks?

On AT&T. Seems to be a general BIS outage.

Same w/Sprint in NC. Only BES mail is going thru it seems.
I get the same maintenance page at sprint.blackberry.com as well.

I am on Verizon in Alabama and my email isn't working either. Everything else is fine. Same for a friend on Verizon in TN.

No emails since 1 AM here either. BBM and internet seem fine. Wisconsin with Virgin Mobile.

Looks like I'm not the only one. BIS down since about 11am Arizona time for me and I'm using Sprint.

As mentioned above, BIS web page states: Service temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again later. They must have waited for the weekend to do something.

Chicago on Verizon here and am so glad it is not me! I was trying to reset and nothing....should have known better...lesson learned...CHeck with Crackberry first!!

Same in TN for Sprint/BIS users...cannot receive or send emails. The unfortunate thing is that the Sprint/BIS site does not give any indication of how long the maintenance will take before service is back up. Happy Saturday

AT&T Support tried everything for me -- but they can't get into Blackberry diagnostics on their end either:

"Okay it looks like it has to be a Blackberry data issue. Everything else looks good in our system. I can't get into any of the Blackberry systems to view your email set up or to send your service books to reset anything. Your firewalls are open and nothing is being blocked, a reset on the battery was no issue, you have enough free memory -- has to be Blackberry -- but they haven't published anything to us".

So I guess we wait -- as the AT&T blackberry url continues to say:

Service temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. Please try again later.

I guess somebody should tell them it's 2011 too ... but you can't email them right now ...

Ditto for Verizon in suburban Boston. No email since sometime after midnight, and cannot get to email setup.
