BB 9900 Hotspot/tether bypass?
Hello , does anyone know a workaround to use the hotspot for free on the bb9900 tmobile with os7.1.
I have already tried changing the tcp/ip to wap.voicestream that does not work - 05-04-2012, 02:29 PM #2

I don't think so. Some plans allow it, and some do not. This is what I have seen at least.
I'm pretty sure Fonzie would use a BB

I had the exact same problem when upgrading my blackberry 9900 to a 7.1 os. After a ton of searching and os changes, I found that there is only one version of os 7.1 for tmobile that will allow you to run the mobile hotspot. The OS version is 7.1.0.74. It is an OS that I found on the Crackberry site a few months back and I must have tried 5 or 6 other versions of the 7.1 but none would allow the hotspot to run, it would simply redirect me to sign up for the $9.99 add on page for tmobile, but trust me this os has proven to be a good solid build for me so far. So again its os version 7.1.0.74. I know what a headache that was for me so I hope it works out good for you as well..

had never even heard of .74. Besides having working hotspot, is it a good build?

I'm not a PB user. Are you guys saying TMO is blocking you from using bridge on your tablets, pulling an AT&T, if you will?

No They redirect you to there site to sign up for the hotspot/tether feature if you try to teather or use the hotspot feature of the phone. The bridge works fine. There is a way to tether to the playbook though that I found works. If you user the Tmobile netherlands profile you can tether to the playbook. Now if they charge as if you were actually in the netherlands or not thats something for someone with deep pockets than mine to find out.

no workaround for 9700 but for those on 9900 use this cod is newer than .74 and it never fails to work using the hotspot function
Before BB10 = BIS sucks! - After BB10 = BIS is the greatest thing BlackBerry ever had
Before BB10 = BlackBerry OS sucks! - After BB10 = Bring back BBOS.
