I'm planning on doing the same shortly. Did you keep the same number? Was there a gap in service, if so how long? Also, did you have to talk to ATT CS at all or did tmo take care of everything?

Yeah coverage is really about the same for me too. My dad has ATT and I have TMobile and whenever he has service, I always have service. We tend to lose it in the same areas too.

Lol. I almost never have bad coverage with T-Mobile. Really depends on where you are on earth.

A lot of my friends have att and the call quality is subpar even though they have more bars in more places. Tmobile gives me very clear calls even with a single bar. Service is almost same with both carriers where I live with att having slightly more coverage. Not much a concern for me bc tmobile provides free UMA calling to compensate for their lack of service. Besides what's the point in having service without good call quality?

I've had AT&T and T-Mobile. AT&T has had a wider coverage area, but worse service than T-Mobile. I may have more dead zones with T-Mobile, but I'll take that over more dropped calls and less bars overall. I'll also take T-Mobiles prices over AT&T. AT&T ripped me and my dad off. They lied to us and charged us for minutes we never used while not honoring rollover minutes. Not to mention their lousy customer service and horrible phones.

Wait, are you saying that one of the sales reps did the unlock for $20? Was this a corporate store? If so, they can lose their job for that. That's one of the biggest things that was made clear to me, is that my unlock business is 100% separate from my work at T-Mobile.
