Default ATT 8110 Browser Gone w/tmobile sim

I got my husband's at&t 8110 unlocked and put the tmobile SIM in, and my browser disappeared. We have the $10 data plan thru tmo and I switched the TCP to voicestream and rebooted and it's still gone.

What happened to it and how do I get it back?

$10 web is not a BB data plan and therefore it will not work. You need a BB BIS or BES add-on which will cost you $30. The phone first web as it is called does not work on BBs. Sorry.

This is true. To verify, make sure the APN is correct too: wap.voicestream.com

I tried downloading opera mini since it worked so well on my 8320, but none of the USB cords are working with that phone (8110) now. Not sure what happened there, but out of 3 different cords, none are recognizing it.

Sounds like its a problem with your drivers for that phone or something. I'd keep playing with it until you get it to connect.

As mentioned above, the $10 data package does not cover a BB. The Browser icon disappears if it does not see a valid internet connection.

If the computer does not recognize the 8110, there may be damage to the USB port on the phone as well. Look at the port and see if there is a row or gold pins (Either four or five, I can't remember) lined up nicely. If there is an obvious gap in the row, one of the pins may have gotten bent which would prevent the computer from recognizing it.
