| | Asking again before the plunge: Ohio users chime in please.
I'm seriously contemplating T-Mo as I'm on Alltel and need a new phone. Wanting the 8900so, t-mo is the ticket.
I'm in Cleveland. Coverage looks "ok", (not verizon ok, but useable). But, it looks possibly more sparse than even sprint in the southern parts of Ohio.
Anyone cares to comment on their Ohio service quality, Cleveland/northern Ohio in particular, I'd be so thankful.
Worried about call quality and coverage both data/voice. I'm coming from flawless CDMA to GSM, and am worried.
Thanks much!

I'm in Toledo area and I have a strong EDGE signal just about everywhere I go in Toledo, but just a few miles west in Sylvania I drop onto gprs. I'd go just for the 8900.

Cincinnati here (well Middletown if you want to get technical) and mine works fine from Dayton to well down in Kentucky.
The only place i had problems with T-Mo was Celina.

Cleveland here - I have tmobile voice and text - workg great with my 8800 - data is not 3g in cleveland. I have a verizon one for work, the voice quality is the same, the call coverage just as good. I will say the battery life with my t-mobile 8800 is amazing compared to the cdma 8820.

Northeast Ohio here...
I have had alltel, and verizon in the past and have been with T-mo for 6 yrs now. Coverage has always been better with T-mo for me. I have always have had service in the basement of my house with T-mo, with the other two, not so much. Altel and Verizon always blamed it on that I live a mile or closer to Lake Erie and it effects the service. The voice quality is decent. T-mo tech support is much more helpful than other companies in my opinion as well.

Cincinnati here. The only place I do NOT get signal is work. I've travelled throughout Ohio and signal is perfect better than any other provider. Also been too Kentucky, Indiana with no issues.

I'm in cleveland, hudson actually, and my tmo service is ok, really crappy at my house which is wooded so I use uma, but fine when out and about. I've had vz, alltel & att in the past. All which honestly, I like better than tmo, but tmo had a better offer when I was looking for new service last year. When my contract is up in jan 2010 I will most likely go elsewhere because I get bad data coverage in my home, where I'm at most of the time as I'm a stay at home mom & do work from home time to time.
Sorry for straying...but I would imagine in any city you should be fine, just so happens I have too many trees surrounding my house

Great input Thank you...
It's between Tmo and Sprint when I jump from Alltel, and although Sprint has the price point, Tmo has the phone I want and decent pricing compared to verizon.
Tmo is sounding pretty usable. Thanks

Hi. I remember when u asked this question before . Okay, I live in the Cleve area and I have pretty good coverage. I just recently started using UMA (mainly becuz someone in my apt building has it and my phone picks up the signal). What I didn't really is while you're on the fone with a wifi signal you can bbm and surf the net at the same time. I really didn't know that!! Anyway I digress lol. I've had very few dropped calls. On the onther hand I have also had Sprint and when I did I got pretty good coverage as well. I really like Tmo tho. I don't think u would have a problem with Tmo.
Let us know what u decide
