anyone is Michigan (detroit and surrounding areas) experiencing 3G outages?
I can't access data using 3G on my 9700 (email, bbm, internet, any apps that require data transmission). However, in switching to EDGE only in the connection manager, I got no problems.
After a battery pull, I can use 3G briefly, but soon any apps that use data give me a message that therre is no working data connection. In running the diagnostic test, the ICMP Ping doesn't connect, and everything else times out and aborts. My signal is good on 3G, -70 to -90,
I've contacted TMO tech support several times, and I've been taken off the towers and added back several times, I've replaced the sim card with a new on and had that activated, and I've spoken with RIM. After being on the phone with RIM, the suggestion was made to reinstall the OS. I'm running 5.0.0.593 and have been since I've had the phone.
I have a co-worker experiencing the same problem with his 9700 for the same length of time... About 2 days going on 3.
Anyone experiencing this problem? What has tmo told you? HEEEEEEELP!
