| | Anyone got the Samsung GS II? Thoughts?
I went to check it out the other day at a T-Mo store, but the display unit they had was faulty and had weird glitches. It would start opening things on its own and what not. Still, I managed to get a glace and it looks great. Was wondering if anyone here got it and can give some feedback. Thanks.

had the same issue with the one I tried to look at, the device had a mind of it's own. I am wondering it that metal holder thing they put it in is messing it up or something.

That's what I thought too, but it didn't create any issues on the Amaze for example. And I mean, did they really place that thing without realizing that almost all the display models will suffer from it? Wow...

Its really hard to get a good idea what a phone is truely capable of at a store due to issues as you two have had. People beat the crap out of those things and or like you said could be the case/holder it was in. ....I have took their 14 day policy on a few phones and if not happy take it back. Only downfall to that most T-Mobile retail stores make you pay a restocking fee, which IIRC is somewhere around 50 dollars. To me it is worth it due to being stuck in a contract for 2 years.

You can always goto Wal-Mart and buy it full price and play with it and return within 30 days without paying restocking fees! I heard that stock rom stinks on galaxy phones unless you mod it.

I guess it might be too early, but I was kinda hoping some actual users would reply.
My main concern is that I detest typing on the screen. I had an iPhone 3G for a small while and boy, I absolutely sucked art typing on that thing. I hope that the larger screen would be better... but the tactile feedback just isn't there really...

Depending on the person, it could be a week or a month for someone to get used to touch screen only. I went from the Curve 8900 to Cliq XT (used it 10 days) to Incredible on VZW. It was extremely hard for me to use the touch screen but I knew I wasn't going back to the Curve so with time I got used to it. Now I can imagine going back to a phone with a keyboard.

just thought i'd share......I'm loving the touch wiz 4.0 is not cluttered like sense...This phone is in no way bulky even with the body glove installed. The screen is VERY beautiful. it feels good i'm the hand.. I won't get a phone under 4.3 inches..
It's also quite fast going from screen to screen and surfing the web. Much faster than my WP7 focus or HTC HD2.

I'm considering this phone as well at my renewal period around Christmas time. Hopefully the price will have come down a bit.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I am sure I will get used to typing on virtual keyboards, especially with such a big screen, because that was the problem with the iPhone, the 3.5 inches was too small for my hands.

Did you decide to get it? If so what's your feedback? I just got the white version and it has screen problems- "mura". When in the low light or dark/ grey background, you can see vertical lines, big lines, and spotches. I am expecting a replacement but seeing as the posts on forums, i don't expect one without it.

I got the Galaxy IIS for my wife for Christmas. It's a great phone, but I'd rather have my Bold 9900. It was fun to set up for her and learn Android....but I still like the Berry |

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I've had my HD7 for a year now and still suck at typing on the screen. The autocorrect helps but its not even close to either of my BBs 8800+9700 (the 8800 being the best) or my older G1 or Sidekick.
I am thinking my next phone would be an Iphone but the smaller screen has me concerned.

| | I do
I received a T-mo gift card as a Christmas present. I was like a kid in a candy store. Based on what the reps were carrying, the price of the BB, I chose the Galaxy SII. I have not regretted the choice to change. I actually enjoy the Android phone alot. I like the touch screen, I do not need to wear my glasses, it is amazingly fast, it has a great screen with true colors. I missed the notification of missed calls, texts, and emails. It just didnt have it, but found an app that works adequately. I am not disappointed at all.
It's a great device, It's just too bad it doesnt say Blackberry on it.

Thanks. | The one ur probably using was stuck in "demo" mode. But I been using the phone for 3 months now and its a great phone. No lag and any issues. Mind you I also rooted and running the Juggernaut rom. But I like the phone, had a sensation 4g
