It's just an app to view your account info on your phone. It's harmless, and actually sometimes useful. It's pushed there by T-Mobile, but I'm sure you can just choose to hide it if you don't want to see it.

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | I'd be careful throwing that POS statement out. There are larger carriers out there that barrage their customers with multiple useless icons. So your carrier pushed a generally useful app, big deal. It could be 10 or more that other carriers do & add to that some carriers control where you can download apps & what search engine you can use.

It's just a little app. You can delete it from your apps and then hide the icon if it's still there.

T-Mobile pushes a lot of icons for games, not the games themselves. You have to actually install the games. But the icons are always there. Thank goodness they aren't actually taking up memory though and you can just hide them.

Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had any apps like that pushed to my phone. Hmmm.

If you don't see the app and you think its just a link to download then you can always go under Service books and delete that book for the icon thus, the icon disappears but it may come back after some time or when you use app world or something.

Hmmm. | I had almost 20 or so program icons pushed to my 9700 once I got a proper BIS connection (Tetris demo, Where's Waldo demo, Need For Speed Shift demo, Slacker Radio, Guitar Hero, Bubble Bash, Pac-Man, Brain Challenge, Tony Hawk, ToneMaker Demo, Twitter, TeleNav, nUTsie Music, PrimeTime2Go, Accuweather, Where, Traffic, AllSport GPS, etc). Luckily, they were mostly all in the Downloads folder, and once I hid them all they stayed gone (unless I change themes). So on the one hand, I agree with the OP- it's annoying to have to play clean-up, and not have a say what goes on our phones. But realistically... they're just shortcuts, and all I had to do was click "hide." |

Stuff gets pushed to phones on all carriers. It's part of the TOS. I think verizon is the worst. It seems like almost every time I do a battery pull there is a new icon showing up. Just hide it, and forget about it.
