Default Already eligible for upgrade after only 6 months

I bought my G2 in December and Tmobile reps confirmed that my line is eligible for a FULL upgrade. I called a few more times just to make sure they were correct. Woohoo!

i think it's a new thing the carriers are doing but upgrading 6 months early requires a small charge for a new phone.

Btw im on a family plan and am not the main line. I'm happy with my G2 so im gonna wait to hear about more phones coming out - hopefully phones that'll be even better than the Sensation and GS2.
That's a bit weird, when i called in to ask, someone told me feb 2012. i signed up my contract in may 2010.

Doubt it. The main line was upgraded December 2009 and is now eligible for early upgrade but with a small fee. I was told by two reps that my line is eligible for full upgrade. It even shows it being eligible on their website. I think I just got lucky when I upgraded and maybe the in-store rep messed something up.

Just got off the phone with a rep again and apparently I used another line to upgrade this phone but that is false. My number was ported from Verizon to the family plan and i was eligible for upgrade on the spot since the line was new.

I think someone made a mistake and got me a free upgrade but im not complaining

I'm with Vodafone UK my contract runs out in December, you get the normal early upgrade 3 months before but now they're telling me i can upgrade 6 months early but if i get the latest phone i would have to pay a small fee. I thought maybe T mobile is doing the same.

Just get another phone at a subsidized price and sell it for profit.

I am pretty sure you either A/Got lucky or B/Someone jacked up...

I am 1 month away on "full" upgrade on one of my phones on a family plan and they said this certain phone I was looking at would be 50 bucks, but if I was to get it now, would be 228 with tax....zing! One month away...lol!

The in store rep that sold me the phone must've made a mistake somewhere in the system. Only 6 months into contract and already eligible for a full upgrade. I am definitely lucky.

I am strongly considering using my upgrade for the Sensation. That phone looks awesome.

Does T-Mobile do two-year upgrades, or one-year as their standard policy?
