Default After the 9700 what else is there really?

So I have the 8900 Currently running 5.0 (LOVE IT!) and I'm thinking to upgrade to the 9700 in April for the 3G. I'm wondering after the 9700 what else is there really? The 9700 has UMA, 3G, Trackpad, full qwerty keypad, threaded sms, everything I want in a blackberry personally. I have no interest in the Touchscreen stuff and I'm ok with the current browser so I'm left thinking what else can blackberry do really? Faster processor and more onboard memory is the best I can come up with. Best I can tell, for what I do with my 'berry the 8900 covers all my needs with the addition of 3G and the Trackpad being the only improvements I can see looking forward to the 9700. I know a lot of people don't like the native browser so I can see that being improved but what else is there?

I'm not a fan of threaded sms and personally would prefer that RIM give us a disable feature for it but with that said the 9700 is a very nice device. I sold my 8900 for $200 and so my outlay for the 9700 wasn't that much. I'd recommend biting the bullet and just getting yourself a 9700.

BlackBerry needs to up their game on their OS though. If they don't fix this threaded sms and give users a choice to turn it off, the 9700 will be my last BlackBerry.

For now it's the top BlackBerry, I feel (though I'm sure some will challenge that)...but eventually something newer, sleeker and quicker will come out. Just wait and you'll see it before too long.

Whomp whomp...

To the OP the 9700's build quality is a lot better and sturdy than the 8900 (which has a lighter, more plasticky feel to it). You won't be disappointed.

I've had my 9700 a whole day now & love it. I was torn between the 8900 & the 9700. What convinced me was going to a T-Mobile store & testing each device.
