Default Advice for Prepaid Tmobile?

Hi there.

I have just moved to Michigan from Canada.
I recently purchased a new 9700 from Rogers in Canada, and got it unlocked.

First I decided to go with At&t, and went to the nearest store to buy a sim card. I walked out buying a go-phone (prepaid) just so I can get an at&t sim card.

Now, Ive found out that this sim card cant be used just yet, and I have to take it to a nearby At&t retail store (which is 45 mins by car). I currently do not have a car either.

A friend suggested to go with T-Mobile.
What I want to know is, does T Mobile offer prepaid services for Blackberry, that gives me an option to use BBM and email? How much would it cost.

Are there any alternatives I could go with to get this blackberry working with a data plan and the whole BIS including BBM and email?

Is there an option for At&T to work with my phone?

My options are specifically for prepaid, but I ultimately want BBM and emails coming.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated, and thanks in advance Crackberry.

T-mobile does not offer any prepaid BIS services for blackberry.. BUT instead u can do a NO contract monthly plan with them.. T-mobile does have to run your credit to see if you qualify for services but if u don't qualify u will have to pay a deposit to start services... Its a great offer though the plans they have on no contract are great!

can anyone point me in the direction of a cheap BIS plan for 9700. Either from At&t or Tmobile. Also I am not a US citizen, will I still be able to sign up for a plan?

Thanks!

AT&T does NOT offer prepaid BlackBerry Data currently.

TMobile did but they recently discontinued them. But you might try calling and asking if you can get it on the Even More Plus Plan.

No idea about the citizen question. Call and ask.

Just saw it today at best buy, tmobile offers 600 day time minutes...unlimited night/weekend...unlimited blackberry service...for 65 dollars...no contract....so i guess it would be like prepaid since there isn't a contract...
