Default 9700 or wait for Trackpad 89xx?

I have the 8900 right now, and just noticed I can get the 9700 for 129.99 by extending my contract, but I'm somewhat hesitant because I want to wait for an 89xx with a trackpad itself. Does anyone know when it will be coming out, or any feedback on the 9700 would be appreciated. I love everything about my 8900.

The 9700 is a perfect blend of all the good things of an 8900 with the speed of the 9000. I've had both, and can say that while the 8900 with a trackpad would be nice-this 9700 is the best Berry to date, IMO.

I agree!

I love my 8900! I only now wish it had a trackpad.

Looking to the future, when the 89(10) arrives, it will be new, pricey and have all that the 9700 has basically except 3G.

The 9700 right now would be $130, you get everything the 8900 has, plus a trackpad and 3G.

I'd go for the 9700!

No 3G on 8910, get the 9700 and call it a wrap.

Yes from what I heard, 8910 won't have 3G.

I don't why...but it won't.
I'd get the 9700 now. It's only 129.

Why go with a 8910 when you can have 3G?? Plus the 9700 probably will have a better processor than the 8900

How about those Android phones? I feel like all the ones that t-mobile has right now are kind of crappy. But I heard there will be a few new Android phones coming to t-mobile.

Think I should hold out and wait for those? or get the 9700? Right now I only have a 8120 and would definitely like more processing power......

I'd consider the Google Nexus phone, but I like BB too much.

Are all mention-worthy Droid phones gigantic? Because i kind of don't like how huge they all seem to be.

The Milestone (AKA droid) is not huge, unfortunately T-Mobile will not be getting it. I heard Telus up in Canada is releasing it soon so you can buy it from them and use it on T-Mobile. However, I don't think you will be able to use TMO 3G with a Telus phone because of different bands or something...

I considered that too myself, but I've been reading about a lot of "bugs" on it, and that tech support for it really sucks. So no thanks.

Now that I have my 9700, I'm in love. I just wish there was 3G in my area.

If there is an 8920 coming to T-Mobile, it won't have 3G and won't be as good as the 9700.

Get the 9700 for 129.99 and be done with it. I upgraded from 8900 and love it

Default I got the 9700!

I was getting a bit frustrated with the lack of app memory on the Bold 9000 (on AT&T) and sauntered into a T-Mobile store after picking up coffee at the nearby Starbucks. I was able to lay hands on the Nexus One (nice phone, heavy as a brick it seemed) and then...ah yes...and then, the other rep showed me his 9700. My oh my! I could hardly believe what I was experiencing.

To think I had actually considered something other than a BlackBerry after using the 9000 for about a year. Forty five minutes later I walked out with the 9700 and have not regretted my decision one bit. It makes the 9000 look like a cheap toy.
