9700 - Mobile Backup - Do you trust it?
When I upgraded my OS to .442, I went to my contacts and got this little message asking me if I want to use Mobile Backup. I saw how someone mentioned on a thread that they did the Mobile Backup and saw all 542 of their contacts there on the T-Mobile website, waiting in case of an emergency. I'm sure most of you know what this is about since I've seen 1 or 2 recent threads on it, but I can't help but ask the question, Can you really trust T-Mobile (or any carrier for that matter) with all of your contacts?
Granted we're not celebrities or huge public figures, I've read articles on how some employees at different carriers were actually bribed to give out information on certain people. Contacts, e-mails, etc. Not saying Tiger Woods backed up everything to his carrier's server, but I don't believe that's limited to just those in Hollywood.
Maybe I'm being too paranoid, but when it comes to your privacy and security, I don't think I can be.
Thoughts? Ideas? Input?
