Default 9700 to 9780

I'm so excited. I called T-Mobile to cancel because they wouldn't let me upgrade and they offered me a White 9780 for 179.99, and I didn't have to pay a dime up front. Gonna sell my basically brand new 9700 and not come out of pocket! Still not in love w/ T-Mo, but thanks!

Hey, at least they made you somewhat happy. Enjoy your 9780!

Was the phone the only reason you stayed with the company? If so, I'm curious as to what issues you have with T-Mobile that a price adjustment kept you from turning to another company. You mentioned the lack of upgrade angered you, but was there any other issues?

Also wondering what made you stay?

I know if I wasn't happy with service, their isn't many devices that would keep me with a company, not to mention the 9780 isn't a huge difference from a 9700, besides more memory and 5mp camera...

I have no reason to upgrade to that phone since using os6 now...waiting for QNX in our Berries, hopefully within the next year.

Good luck on new phone though. I don't have problems with Tmobile, been with them for 4 years now.

I'm assuming you were still in contract prior to getting the 9780, if so, where you just going to pay the ETF and jump ship?

I'm just not happy with T-Mobile's service. I only have 3G in certain areas and in some places I have SOS or even the little X. It's frustrating.

I'm generally unsatisfied with a lot of the other choices for phones with other companies. T-Mobile is the lesser of the two GSM evils for me.

Yes, I was 11 months in. And no, I was bluffing. There's no where else to go in my area. AT&T reps were rude while I had my iPhone and the guys in the corporate store here would rather swap sex stories than help a customer.

Then frankly, you should probably contemplate switching carriers. I've always been a believer in getting your monies worth. T-Mobile would obviously not want to lose a customer, but there's no point in making you stay with T-Mobile if service is lacking in certain important spots for you. No phone upgrade would make me stay with spotty coverage.
