Default 8900 Not Working Out Tmo Wants to give me Dash!?!

Okay... I've been with T-mobile for 2 months. I've already replaced my 8900 five times. Just got a new one this pass Monday I don't want to keep dealing with this phone. What should I do?! & T-mobile will not budge!!! They offered me a Dash 3G. Is that a good phone? I really don't want anything other than a Blackberry. Please help me.

They might let you try the 8520, but I doubt they will put you in what you REALLY want, a 9700. Anyways I'm moving this to the Tmobile Forum.

My thoughts when I saw this thread 9700. No matter what, just think, you're better off than me. I'm stuck with this 8320 for 18 more months, unless I want to shell out $$$ that is

Tell them no way and you want a 9700.

They are offering you the Dash 3G because it's probably the only listed replacement for the multiple exchange program. It's been a solid phone, but Windows Mobile is a very different beast. If you choose not to take the Dash, you'll have to stick with the 8900.

Please ignore the above advice saying to keep pushing for a 9700.

That's exactly what they said. & they told me retention doesn't talk to customers of only 2 months of service. I just think its crazy that I can't get a phone that works. I also don't wanna pay full price for a 9700 because I don't think its that much of an upgrade. Thanks everyone for the advice. Might just go to AT&T & get an iphone or 9700 for free.

What is wrong with the phones you are getting? I have had my 8900 for about 6 months and my woman has had hers for 4......we have had absolutely no problems with the phone itself.....and I haven't had to replace any berries I've owned before.

Five phones in two months, that is just plain crazy!

Five phones in two months = USER ERROR. What the **** has been the problem with the phones you are claiming as faulty?

Trackball issues!!! This new one came with the screen cracked. I don't see how that's user error LOL! Does anybody know if the Dash 3G is a good phone?

how are you even considering a dash over a 8900... your getting jipped if you take the dash because its a piece of junk.

I just want a phone that works! & I'm not having any luck with the 8900. So I'll consider just about anything.

I had a Dash before I got my 9700 and I think it's a solid phone. Win Mobile is a different beast than Blackberry OS, but I think it's a fair trade for the 8900. JMO.

The only true quantifiable downgrade between the 8900 and the Dash is the camera. 2.0 vs 3.2
