Default 8900 free through retentions?

I am currently out of contract and I talked to retentions and got them down to 80$ and 1 yr contract for an 8900. Has anyone been able to get an 8900 for free with a contract extension?

thanks

I believe the lowest I've heard is 70-80 dollars for a new 8900 with upgrade. I believe you have a great deal.

I got $75 with a two-year extension and part of that was sending in my old 8300 for a rebate so the deal you are quoting is terrific and I'd grab it before they change their minds.

By having multiple, MULTIPLE issues with tmo since I started my service and not saying anything about it until I wanted a new phone. It took around 2 weeks, but I got it. I highly recommend following them on twitter, if you have an account. I've got a thread out there that I'll try to find that details alot of the issues I had and what I went through to get what I got.

You're lucky, I was charged $150 for an upgrade through retentions last week with a 2 year contract.

Back in June my contracts was up so i called in to upgrade and spoke to loyalty. At first they didn't want to work with me but eventually the rep told me he could charge me 129.99 per bb 8900 and credit my account 100 making the total for each 8900 30 bucks.

I ended up getting 5 bb 8900 for every line and was able to get some other goodies as well.

The contract is 2 years as well but i don't see myself leaving tmobile anytime soon.

I have to say I'm kinda surprised but very very happy with Tmobile! I added my girlfriend to my account a few months back and she got a Nokia phone that was UMA compatible. Long story short, it didn't work very well, swapped SIM cards and finally just signed up for the unlimited loyalty plan so we didn't have to worry about it. Come to find out that our corp. discount doesn't apply the loyalty plan like I was told it would. So now we have this crappy nokia phone that wont work on UMA and we want to go back to a myfavs with UMA plan. My girlfriend calls AT&T (who she used to be with) and they tell her they will give us two free blackberrys to switch to them. I call up Tmobile and very politely explain the situation to them. Right away I get a rep who hooks me up! They are sending me another 8900 for $60.....but didn't stop there. The $69.99 family plan that has 400 minutes plus myfaves is what I was thinking of switching to......for $69.99 he gave me 1000 minutes, myfaves, unlimited mobile to mobile and an extra 1200 minutes per line per year "overdraft protection", so if either of us go over our minutes we have 1200 minutes each to use. Also gave me unlimited family texting for $9.99/month. On top of all that I get to use my 15% corp discount, I'll be saving around $50/month. I think I'll be sticking with Tmobile for awhile!
