2nd Account Charges
What's up CB? Anyways, here's my small issue I have right now. I had an account with three lines about a month ago. My sister asked me if I could get her and her boyfriend a phone since I qualified for two more lines. So I said YES. I walked into a TMO store here in NC to add two more lines to my account. I was trying to add two more lines with a Philadelphia area code but they said I couldn't do it because I was on the family plan and my only option was to get another account and split five lines. Three on one and two on the other account. So I went with the split. The TMO rep at the store was very nice and set up the account. I even got the phones for free since they didn't have the ones I wanted. She also told me they would waive the activation charges since I was adding two more phones. A few days after, I was adding up all the charges on both lines and saw that I would be paying far more on the two accounts compare to having all five on one account. I called TMO and they told me to just merge both accounts into my original account. So I did just that but the rep told me not to forget about paying the bill on the prorated charges on the second account. A few days ago, I get the bill from TMO for $101.31. That includes the two activation charges for $70 plus $20.98 for recurring charges, and $10.33 in taxes. I no longer have the second account since I merged both accounts. Should I call TMO to have them remove the $70 for activation on those two lines since I was told at the store that they would waive the activation charges? I have no problem paying the bill but I was told that I wouldn't have to pay them. Why should I have to pay $70 extra when they told me I wouldn't have to? Please give me some advice on what I should do. THANKS in advance!
